So I need to write an update, but this isn't much of an update. Anyway I had a really good priesthood lesson yesterday lead by Robert Robinson. We discussed the talk "Your MTC" I think that was the title if not is was close to it. We talked about how we can work to help young men serve missions. One of the things that was prominent in the discussion was the need to be "more diligent and concerned at home." I had a thought at the end of the lesson about the talk "It is Never too Early and It is Never too Late." Where ever we are we can begin now to make a difference. For the fathers and mothers you probably already know but you can receive revelation for your children. Be the type of parent that your child feels comfortable addressing any topic. Spend one on one time with them, set goals with them and whatever else you feel that they need. You are all smart and can share some of your smarts with the siblings as well. Experiences and lessons that you have learned maybe even the hard way that by sharing we can learn from them. Another thought I had was a quote "No success can compensate for failure in the home." I hope we all work together to have an eternal family knowing that it is never too early or too late to do so.

Thanks for the good thought. I think it is so important to be the kind of person that you want to be right now. Sometimes I think to the future about how I will serve more or donate more or do more teaching to my children, but I can do a lot of it right now. I don't need to wait.
