To Omaha and Back again, but first to Casper

Well some of you may think that based on this picture we rode the mighty bison bareback to Omaha. I would like to say we did something spectacular like that, but we didn't. However, Jared could be the next Buffalo Bill. What we did is we went we saw and we came back, the end. Now at this point Eliza is saying John is notorious for with holding information. However, all of this information is given by my own free will so any details missed or withheld will need to be filled in by those who had part in this journey.

After a grueling end to finals. Jared and I went to Star Valley. We had decided to carpool or caravan with Mom and Dad to Casper. We had a fun, but brief time there and then off to Casper. While we were driving to Casper we listened to a book on CD with my awesome 6 CD changer. We also pow wowed with James to some Native American classics, from groups like Flying Squirrels. It was funny last time Jared and I drove back from Casper we found this Native American station and some of the group names were super funny. So we had to listen to it with James. He didn't know how to take it.

We made it safely to Casper and had a wonderful grilled pork chop dinner. Ana was so funny sneaking to the table to get more watermelon. We played tag quite a few times and we threw the football around. We had homemade ice cream of course. Later we played uno attack which is a favorite at the Dalton home. It was a blessing for us to join in fasting with the Dalton family for a little boy in their ward, Henry, that was diagnosed with cancer.

Sunday was a special day. It was a kind of crazy morning, but we all got ready. Ana was funny picking out some of her clothes. Emmett is a wonderful baby. He is really calm a lot of the time. Unless he really wants his mom he is pretty content. It was funny when we got to church lo and behold who should be there but my old roommate Kevin Bergquist. It was funny to see him because he had recently go married the Friday before and he was on his way to Michigan for an internship. I didn't think I would see him for a long time. They had planned to go to an early ward, but they got kind of mixed up. They were just passing through. It is a small world in the Mormon community. Ben gave a great blessing and it was a sacred experience for Jared, Dad and I to be a part of. Afterwards we had testimony meeting. Lots of children got up to bear their testimonies but the one that touched me was Lydia's. Linda Lee and Ben had invited her to fast a little for Henry. She got up and simply said "that her parents asked her to fast and she wanted to for Henry". It is amazing how much a little child can teach you. Eli also got up I think he also wanted to bear his testimony. However, when he got to the mike he just stood there not knowing what to say. I was thinking about getting up to bear my testimony as well. I was blessed by the testimonies that were born and those that were not. Eli did show me a great example of acting and of righteous desires.

Sunday dinner we had Lydia's favorite potatoes, okay mine too. Mom made some yummy cheesy potatoes. Mom, Dad and James left after dinner. Jared and I enjoyed the rest of the day with the Dalton's. Linda Lee and Ben we excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. They are awesome. You guys should go visit them soon.
