Happy Baby! I think he was looking at his mom. |
Saturday afternoon was warm and pleasant - fun trampoline times. |
Cute Dalton children! |
In their Easter outfits, Linda Lee made the skirts. |
Bright outside! |
It was quite cold after church when we were posing for family photos. |
Say "cheese!" |
As John mentioned Emmett is a very calm and contented baby. It was a special blessing - Ben was very in tune and the spirit was bright.
We left after dinner. We saw quite a bit of animal life on our drive home - deer, geese, a fox, a moose, some mountain goats and bighorn sheep.
The next weekend, April 17th, we traveled to Rexburg, again a quick trip. We rode with John on Sunday afternoon and then met up with Jared who had the Buick for a trip to Utah. We also picked up Esther who got a ride from the BYU-I ride board back from Post Falls.
Chrystal had a yummy ham dinner for us with a fab salad. It was nice enough weather that most of the kids ate outside.
The weekend of April 22 and 23 we hung out here. Dad and James helped Grandpa with some farm work until the pouring rain prevented continuation, We caught up a little at home, sorting through some boxes and then a garbage trip to the dump.
That Sunday we had dinner over at Bart and Janet's to celebrate Bart's birthday. Janet made some type of Swiss dinner, that was breaded and fried pork cutlets.
Friday, April 29, I took Esther to Randall Orthodontics in Idaho Falls. She had no school that day, but we had to leave about the same time the bus came, (7 a.m.) to make her appointment. While she was getting her braces on, I did a little shopping at a thrift store and WinCo. I picked up some lime yogurt for her, knowing she might prefer something soft and easy to eat. When she came out of the appointment she had a pint of Ben and Jerry's mint cookies and cream, compliments of Randalls.
We picked up a tractor part for Grandpa, then went to Sugar City so Esther could have a trim from Chrystal. Thanks to Chrystal for making the time in an already full day to trim Esther's hair.
Esther will need to post some photos of her "new look" both mouth and hair, eh?
Then on Saturday morning, Dad, James and Esther worked a couple hours picking rocks in the field. (Which I don't understand, how you can pick out so many rocks, pile them in a pile and then the next spring you have just as many or more. I guess it's true about Bedford being called "Bedrock").
Then we drove to the temple in Rexburg. James and Esther did baptisms. Dad and I did sealings. We missed the 12:45 session just barely, so we opted to join a sealing group. We did several family names sealing mostly sons and one daughter to parents.
After the temple we dropped off some food for the starving college men and then headed to Lewisville, by Rigby, to attend AJ and Sheena Dirks wedding reception. Sheena's family now lives in Post Falls, but before that lived near Rigby. We were in a time crunch once again because Esther had a date to MORP with Erickson Vicente, who she had asked two days before and he replied on Friday with a poster and basket of treats.
She had great time at MORP. Joshua said that Briana mentioned two different proms she attended in high school. One was with a guy she really liked, and the other with a guy she didn't really like. Briana had more fun at the second prom. I guess that formula worked for Esther too.
