Tillerys Visit & 82 Years Young!

Chrystal and her children came for a visit March 25th and 26th.  It was good to see them.

A couple of days before they came, the weather had been sunny and clear with conditions cold enough that sledding on crust could be an option for a fun activity to do, but the morning they arrived, rain and snow made everything a slushy mush.  The boys did get some outside time by helping Dad/Grandpa to haul firewood from the chicken coop to Grandpa/Great Grandpa's garage.  They all worked hard.

The kids liked looking at some piglets Marion is raising.
This was on Sunday which was a nicer weather day.

Later, Dad, James and Cody went to hunt birds with no luck.  Chrystal trimmed Grandpa Blair's hair.

Chrystal, Grandma and Mom enjoyed going to the General Women's Broadcast Saturday evening.

Sunday was Grandma's birthday.  After church, we had them over for dinner.  No candles, but we sang "Happy Birthday" and served apple and lemon meringue pie.  I forgot to get a photo of them at the table.  Chrystal captured one for me as they were leaving.

They're pretty amazing grandparents.  Grandma still quilts jean quilts.  She consistently reads the Sunday School and Relief Society lessons each week. She comes to all of the Relief Society activities. She seeks opportunities to serve and bless others.  She and Grandpa work every other Saturday in the temple.  Plus they do much more.  A great example to follow.

We enjoyed the visit and the birthday celebration.  It's a blessing to live near family.
