I wanted to share with you some stories and pictures from this summer that you still haven't seen. This isn't to distract y'all from posting a high-low comment on Linda Lee's post. Please go ahead and do that! I would love to hear the rest of everyone's comments!
On our way home from Casper in a visit to Linda Lee and Ben's house, we stopped at Independence Rock
Briana and I took a hike up to White Pine Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon by SLC. It was a pretty hike. We enjoyed eating some tasty wraps and grapes at the top by the lake.
The lake seemed to drop off the edge... It was pretty cool.
This was back when the duck face was still popular (obviously), a long time ago (at the beginning of the hike)... really a shout out to Jared's duck face post!
Here we are in the car on the way to Colorado. Briana, John, and I drove out together. Briana furtively took some clandestine photos of John and I....John's are better.
We took the scenic route up over Independence Pass (Elevation 12,095). This post is just all about independence...rocks, passes, and ...pictures?
On our last day in Colorado, Briana and I went to Manitou Springs near Colorado Springs and hiked up the incline. It is a trail consisting of lots of railroad ties stairstepped into the mountain.
It is a fun hike, and it can be a challenge. Here is our chipper "before" picture.
With the sun high and the trail climbed you can see that our "after" picture definitely looks like we were climbing and sweating...
Briana's parents took us all out to eat tacos at a cool restaurant. We first picked up Sarah, Briana's sister, from the airport. I thought it was a pretty interesting place. It used to be a warehouse, and they had that kind of style all around. I think Chrystal would have a fun time here looking at the decor.
The glasses were mason jars and the water pictures were old wine bottles.
Both beautiful people. Physically.
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess spiritually and emotionally and yaddy yaddy ya.
Haha. Thanks. Now I have to tell myself not to swallow all your fine compliments.
